Absolutely one of the best restaurants and delis in Dayton! Always packed for lunch so get there early! Fresh, fresh ingredients. A couple different daily soups are very tasty and inventive. The owner Haitham Iman is always super friendly, gets to know customers on a first name basis and sure knows how to cook an amazing meal. The staff here, Phil, Devin the bartender, all are very friendly, accommodating and always can make you smile. Great options for packed salads to grab on go. Freshest salmon salad around. Stop by for happy hour and tapas on Thursdays and Fridays, 4-7 pm. Live local music on Fridays. There's a big patio out front too. The sandwiches and burgers are all amazing - the turkey club and chicken Caesar and buffalo chicken wraps are my favorite. Great convenient option with a parking garage attached and near the Schuster Center for a stop in before a play or musical.

Carmen's isn't bad for a deli tucked away inside a big corporate building. It of course is popular for lunch. They do get many off the street. It has healthier food than the average deli. The hours are kind of limited because it targets downtown workers.
Being located in the Kettering Building, it's kind of easy to find but still hidden away. It's tricking getting into it because you have to go past several doors until you can get into the center, then walk a ways over to the deli. The menu has a strong Greek influence. It's because the owner is Greek, so he knows authentic food. The menu is healthier than an average deli, containing many vegetarian friendly selections. I had the falafel pita. This is about $7 for a good size.
It overall is pretty good. It's better than you would expect to find in a corporate environment like this building. The hours kind of stink because they do most of their business during lunch and they're closed weekends. -

Place rocks. The owner even better. Nicest guy in Dayton. The chicken salad is amazing. Please give his place a try.

We love to eat at local places around Dayton for staff lunch using Yelp.
The great ratings and our love of sandwiches lured us in.
I had the Philly and my friend had the club- both were awesome!
The owner is uber friendly. I look forward to returning sometime to enjoy one of their desserts.
Only downside- downtown parking.
